Asilo3000 is a new kindergarten project located at Via Clericetti 20 in the Città Studi district of Milan. Set within a well-connected urban area rich in green spaces and educational facilities, the project was conceived to overcome the limitations of the existing structure, which lacked both dialogue with the adjacent primary school and the sense of joy and well-being that a space for children should convey. The design is developed from the child’s perspective, shaping a flexible and unified volume that encourages autonomy, play, and learning while ensuring safety and visual supervision. Bright, welcoming interiors support contemporary educational dynamics through open and easily readable spaces. The building features a reinforced concrete and steel structure, a metal micro-corrugated façade with perforated shading elements, and light-filled interiors finished with white surfaces and bacteriostatic parquet flooring, creating a calm, contemporary, and child-centered environment.
